Our main role is to bridge the gap that exists between academia and practice. Academic sales research should positively influence the practice of professional selling globally. We desire to promote quality education for students seeking sales careers and further improve the standing of academic sales research. This is accomplished by researching topics of relevance to businesspeople, and actively engaging them on these topics and disseminating important findings with the goal of positively influencing practice.

In order to achieve its objective, the association has the purpose to:

  • Promote quality education in professional sales and sales management.
  • Bridge the gap in professional sales and sales management between academia and practice.
  • Provide financial and non-financial support for academic sales research, including an agenda of research topics.
  • Positively impact the practice of professional sales and sales management globally.
  • Facilitate international student and faculty exchange.
